Crustacean records started up 15 years ago in Milwaukee. Spanning punk, metal, pop, indie, garage rock, hardcore and Americana, this little label has become of the the key players in the Midwest music scene. Drown out the Daylights is the story of what of survival of a band in fly over country and how being it a band is survival itself for many musicians. Featuring the music and stories of 10 bands, The film samples some of the areas promising young talent along with scene vets told in interviews and plenty of rocking footage.
